An allergy occurs when our immune system reacts to a substance foreign to our body. The immune system produces antibodies in that case. When a person has an allergy, it means their immune system has been attacked by pollen, bee venom or pet dander or food that normally doesn’t react with most people. The severity of any allergy varies from person to person and could range from mere irritation to sometimes life-threatening emergency.   • Food allergy: It can produce tingling in the mouth along with swelling of the tongue, face, lips and also throat. Hives and anaphylaxis are caused by this allergy only.
  • Insect sting allergy: It ends up swelling a large area, most often the site of the sting. A person can feel itching all over the body. Acidity, coughing, wheezing or sometimes shortness of breath can also occur.
  • Drug allergy: It doesn’t happen much but it can be fatal if it does. Hives, rash, itchy skin are some of the common symptoms of this disease. Sometimes, when it gets fatal, it can lead to facial swelling, wheezing and in extreme cases, anaphylaxis.
  • Atopic dermatitis: It is an allergic skin condition which is also known as eczema. It can cause the skin to be itchy, reddened, and sometimes flaky or peeling.

Signs and symptoms of this fatal condition are:

  • Unconsciousness
  • Drop in blood pressure
  • Severe and frequent shortness of breath
  • Rashes in skin
  • Sometimes a rapid and weak pulse
  • Nausea and vomiting are common symptoms
  • Light-headedness

Signs of allergy:

  • Chronic fatigue
  • Asthma
  • Sometimes, upper respiratory infection and bronchitis
  • Sinusitis or commonly known as sinus
  • Depression
  • Problems in sleeping
  • Difficulty with concentration
  • Lack of exercise endurance

It has been scientifically proven that professionals can sometimes fail to recognize these symptoms correctly and may overlook them.
