1. Tea tree oil
Tea tree oil is a great way to help a scalp that is oily naturally. Having your skin too oily will create dandruff. This remedy has anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties that help the symptoms of dandruff. If you have sensitive skin, try to dilute it by adding a few drops to coconut oil before applying onto your skin. Otherwise, grab a cotton ball and dab it directly onto your scalp.

2. Baking soda
Baking soda has many uses. Since most households already have baking soda in their kitchen or cleaning supplies it is one of the favorites among home remedies. It exfoliates the skin and removes dead skin cells and will reduce itchiness as well as scaling which causes dandruff.
Using baking soda is simple. Apply baking soda to your wet hair and massage it into your scalp. Allow it to sit for a few minutes and then continue your shampooing as normal.

3. Apple cider vinegar

4.Coconut oil
Adding another favorite to the list, coconut oil is a great way to add to your home remedies for dandruff. It helps improve skin hydration, which prevents dryness and thus improves dandruff. Because it is a mineral oil which improves skin hydration, it is used to aid in treatment for skin conditions contributing to dandruff like eczema. To use coconut oil for your dandruff preventing routine, just add water! One is to use a couple tablespoons of coconut oil with some warm water and apply to your scalp after you wash and dry your hair as normal. Massage it into your head and rinse after 10 minutes. You can also apply coconut oil and put on a shower cap and let the oil sit on your skin overnight. This could allow for more of the oil to soak into your scalp. When you wake up, rinse the oil out with warm water.
